MERGEKIN: Echo Defense is a single-player strategy game. You do not create an account, and the game does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, camera, microphone or photos. Your progress is stored on your phone. This policy explains the little data that does leave the device: for optional rewarded ads, and for crash and usage statistics that help us fix and balance the game.
At a glance
| What | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Campaign progress, settings, the run in progress | Your phone only (and your own Google backup, if you have it on) |
| Account, name, email | Not collected — there is no account |
| Advertising ID and device info, when an ad is requested | Google AdMob |
| Crash reports and anonymous gameplay events | Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics) |
| Location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos | Never accessed |
1. Data stored on your device
The game saves your campaign progress, cleared maps and Perfect results, your settings (language, sound, speed), which lessons you have seen, and the run in progress so you can continue after the app closes. This stays in the app's private storage on your phone. We cannot see it.
2. Android backup
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the game's save file in your device backup and restore it on a new phone. Only the save file is included. This backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings; we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's Settings.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game can offer optional rewarded ads — for example, watching an ad to unlock 3× speed for a while or to continue a lost wave. You choose whether to watch; the game does not show ads you did not ask for. To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and certain US states), the game asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from the game's settings. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use limited data for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads).

4. Crash reports and gameplay statistics (Google Firebase)
To fix crashes and balance difficulty, the game uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics. Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes: device model, Android version, app version, and the technical state of the app at the moment of the crash. Analytics records anonymous game events such as a map started, won or lost, how long it took, and which characters and runes were used, linked to a random app-instance identifier — not to your name or any account. We use this only in aggregate to improve the game. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.
5. What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. There is no chat, no user-generated content, and no in-game account.
6. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and is rated for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Retention and deletion
Data on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data in Settings. Firebase crash and analytics data is kept for a limited period (Analytics: up to 14 months; Crashlytics: up to 90 days) and then deleted. Because we hold no account, we cannot identify you in this data; to ask us to delete analytics associated with your device, email us and include the app-instance ID shown in the game's settings, or simply reset your advertising ID and uninstall the app.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Write to us at the address below. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. Significant changes will also be shown in the game.
